Biography: He started in practice at 1 Camden Quay in 1990, now 21 Years on he has transferred to No., 1 Camden Quay to realize his dream of offering the finest quality dentistry in the finest premises. Married to Eileen since 1985 and dad to Katie 19, Hollie 17, Kellie 14 and Jonathan 11 he is kept as busy away from dentistry as when he is in work. They ran the 2004 New York City Marathon together. He is a keen attender of Post Graduate Courses to keep him up to date with all the modern advances in Dentistry. He has travelled to New York, Seattle, Ohio, Florida, Arizona, London , Birmingham, Oxford and all over Ireland to attend dental Courses. He writes a monthly article in The Irish Dentist magazine. He was honoured to receive the Smiler Of The Year Award in New York in September 2010 at the Advanced Level Reunion for 6 Month Smiles, in recognition of the amount and complexity of cases he achieved. He lectured at that reunion and has spoken at dental meetings in Dublin, Cork and the 2011 IDA conference in Cavan. He will again be speaking at the 6 Month Smiles Advanced Level Reunion in Boston June 2012. John recently became the first Worldwide 6 month Smiles dentist to achieve 5 Star status.

Biography: She is the newest member of the team at Cork Dental and we are delighted to have her. Dr Horgan graduated from University College Cork, having been awarded the prestigious IADR David B. Scott Fellowship, and the overall Winner of Outstanding Achievement in Operative Dentistry, with the Academy of Operative Dentistry. After graduating she spent some time working with the dental team in Work The World voluntary organisation in Nepal. This was followed by working in general dental practice in the UK, before returning home to Ireland. Dr Horgan interests specifically lie in the area of cosmetic dentistry and short term orthodontics. She is a great asset to the team. She joins us from June 2014 and is expecting her first child in October.
