Biography: Dr John Bannon MRCGP DCH DRCOG qualifed in Trinity College Dublin in 1988. He worked for nineteen years in the UK in a variety of specialities, including Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Orthopaedic Surgery, Ear Nose and Throat Surgery, and Accident and Emergency. He was a full-time principal in General Practice for fourteen years in the UK, and a GP Trainer for several years before returning to Ireland in 2007. He teaches medical students from Trinity College Dublin in the surgery, and holds the title of Honorary Clinical Lecturer in the School of Medical Education in Liverpool University.
