About PhysioCentre
BodyMed - PhysioCentre is a multi-disciplinary team of Physios, Osteopaths, Acupuncturists, Massage therapists (& more!). Our goal is to look at the whole picture, figure out the why's and the how's and help you get back to a place where you are better than before with lots of tools at your disposal so you can stay on top.
We also have Scoliosis specialists at the clinic to help our younger patients and their families.
BodyMed was set up in 2015 when the owner (& Chartered Physiotherapist), Kathy Kavanagh wanted to set up her 'dream team' of therapists all under one roof! The underlying cause for someone's pain or injury is rarely down to one factor and so this way BodyMed patients benefit from a team of experts. Regardless of who you come in to see, if your therapist thinks there may be another area that needs addressing to get you from 90% to 100%, they will discuss this with you and if you are keen to include that in your treatment plan, the team gets to work on making this happen. This is how BodyMed gets patients superior results, faster! What's not to like?

Biography: BIOKathy is first and foremost a Physiotherapist who has a wealth of experience behind her. From working in teaching hospitals, private clinics, international teams, going to the Olympics (as a physio) and growing her expertise in the area of Scoliosis treatment and management. Kathy, like all the other therapists in BodyMed is a self-confessed nerd at what she does and LOVES her job. Ms Agata Nowak

Biography: Agata qualified as a Master of Physiotherapy in Poland in 2012. She is continuously learning and completed her Dry Needling Course in 2017, APPI Pilates Matwork Level 1 in 2019 and has completed 5 modules from the German School of Manual Therapy which includes intensive training in full body assessments, spinal, joint and nerve mobilizations. Agata is also a certified ISST International Schroth Therapist and has a special interest in treating Scoliosis.Agata has extensive experience in rehabilitation through therapeutic exercises, sports injuries, musculoskeletal conditions and she specializes in: Myofascial Release/ Trigger Point Therapy, Soft Tissue Mobilization, Dry Needling, Scoliosis, Back and Neck Pain.Agata’s specialist areas: Scoliosis, lymphatic drainage, sports massage, massage for neck & back pain patients, massage for scoliosis patients, fascial release techniques, trigger point therapy and Dry needling
Mr Myles Cottrell

Biography: Myles trained at the British School Of Osteopathy (BSO) for five years, qualified in 2004, and moved to Ireland. The BSO has a worldwide reputation for excellence in teaching and safety, and Myles has since gone on to complete many post-graduate studies, including Cranial Osteopathy and Paediatric Osteopathy. Ms Rhona Synnott

Biography: Rhona graduated in 1999 from King’s College, London and specialised in musculoskeletal physiotherapy in 2002. Since then, Rhona has gained experience in a number of settings. She has worked at large teaching hospitals (The Mater, Chelsea and Westminster & St Mary’s Paddington) and private hospitals in Dublin (Blackrock Clinic) and London, as well as sports clinics, gyms, dance colleges and hydrotherapy pools. This has equipped Rhona with the skills to manage injuries from acute injury to end stage rehab and return to play. Having returned to Dublin in 2020, Rhona is excited to join the BodyMed team. Rhona has a keen interest in sports injuries such as running, football, basketball and skiing. She also has 20 years experience in orthopaedics, both post-operative (ACL, Hip & Knee replacements, fractures) and conservative management of injuries. Rhona also has experience and skills in the treatment of jaw pain (Temporomandibular Disorders).Rhona enjoys trail and road running, cycling, sea swimming, gym & pilates. Having had a few injuries herself, she understands the importance of rehabilitation and getting back to full fitness. She is very enthusiastic about helping her patients to achieve their individual goals.
