About Aesthetic Clinics
Since 1999, Dr Heitmann devoted himself passionately to the field of hair restoration surgery. In 2001, Dr. Lars Heitmann started his own private medical practice in Harlem, Amsterdam. In the summer of 2010, Hair Clinic Dr. Heitmann opened a new clinical facility in Zurich, designed to replace the clinical location and surgical facility in the Netherlands.
The hallmarks of a procedure carried out by Dr. Heitmann are fully-restored frontal hairlines, high densities, and the provision of the highest service standards with precision equipment. One of his areas of specialism is the ‘lateral slit technique’, a method devised by Canadian and US-based hair surgeons.
In the German-speaking countries he is regarded as a pioneer of minimally invasive hair transplantation Follicular Unit Extraction of FUE technique.
Dr. Heitmann, has a monumental reputation in the international hair restoration industry. He is widely noted for his television appearances on ‘Sat1 Germany’, Switzerland’s ‘Puls’, and several other channels.

Biography: Completed Medical Studies (1989 – 1996) at Hamburg University (Germany) and Harvard Medical School (Boston, MA, USA) Currently licensed as Medical Doctor in the Netherlands, Germany, and Switzerland Completed research program and Certification as “Dr. med.” (1998) (Department of Gynaecological Histopathology at University Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf - UKE) Completed residency and Board Certification as General Practitioner (GP)(Swiss Medical Association – FMH): Rotations in the fields of Anaesthesiology, Aesthetic-Plastic Surgery, and Dermatology in Munich (Germany) and Zurich (Switzerland) Since 2000 specialized in Hair Restoration Surgery and exclusively dedicated to this field - currently in private practice in Zurich, Switzerland Dr. Lars Heitmann graduated 1997 in the University of Hamburg (Germany). He is board certified in General Medicine by the Swiss Medical Association (FMH), specialized in Follicular Unit Hair Grafting for 12 years and Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) technique since 2005 (practicing FUE exclusively since 2006). In the summer of 2010, he relocated his full-time FUE hair restoration practice from Amsterdam to Zurich. He can be considered as one of the pioneers in the field of Follicular Unit Extraction in the German-speaking Area (Austria, Germany, Switzerland).
