Biography: I graduated with a degree in commerce. Having figured out early that numbers is not my thing, seven years later I graduated with my bachelors and a masters degree in dentistry. With over 25 years’ experience in the dental field I have a diverse background in all aspects of Dentistry. In pursuit of being the best dentist I can be, I constantly strive at being educated on the new innovations in the field. I have been practicing dentistry in Alberta for the past twenty years, serving Edmonton and different parts of Alberta.Having completed the General Practice residency at the U of A Hospital, I continued to work at the hospital as assistant clinic director until 2010, involved in teaching the GPR residents and the dental students in the capacity of Associate professor.

Biography: DMD, PhD, FRCD(C) As a board certified Orthodontist, I am excited to start this new phase in my professional career hoping to help children, adolescents and adults live life to the fullest with an everlasting smile. My passion to create beautiful and healthy smiles have remained strong over the years in the field of dentistry. My strong desire to give back to the dental community, the knowledge and wisdom I learned over the years has culminated in a faculty position, teaching the younger generation of dentists the art and science of orthodontics at the University of Alberta. I also believe that, technological advances to improve health care is the key to future and as a researcher and an assistant professor, I am glad to be part of a research team at the University of Alberta, investigating new ways for an ionizing radiation-free (without the need for dental x-rays) imaging of dental tissues.

Biography: Every moment of my academic life I have devoted to becoming the best dentist that I can be, not just from a technical aspect, but also from a compassionate and human aspect. Aside from my passion for dentistry, I have other passions too. I love music, thanks to my background in piano (I have a Performer’s ARCT), I love yoga and working out – don’t let my small stature fool you, I am stronger than I look! I am hoping to expand my passions into cooking, as I am currently completely hopeless in it. If you have any recipes you can recommend I would appreciate it!I also love doing volunteer work. In 6 years, I devoted over 2000 hours of volunteer work to Canadian Blood Services and was heavily involved in student government, including my role as President of the University of Alberta Dental Students’ Association. I also went to Ecuador with the local dental charity Kindness in Action to provide free dental care, something I hope to do again in the future. Helping people is my passion!
