Biography: He is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon with a subspecialty interest in shoulder, knee and arthroscopic sports surgery. He was then awarded the Tan Tock Seng Scholarship to pursue a Sports Fellowship in Knee Surgery at Hospital Quiron in Barcelona, Spain under the supervision of Professor Ramon Cugat, who is a consultant for the Spanish soccer players. As part of this training, Dr Ramesh also spent time with the Mutualidad de Futbolistas Catalanes orthopaedic teams taking care of the soccer players in Barcelona and the Spanish province of Catalunya. He also completed a Fellowship in Shoulder Surgery at Hospital Del Mar in Barcelona. During his overseas fellowship training, Dr Ramesh was trained in arthroscopic joint reconstruction and joint replacement surgeries. He is an active member of the following organizations/societies: International Society for Arthroscopy, Knee and Orthopaedic Surgery (ISAKOS) International Congress of Joint Reconstruction (ICJR) American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA) Asia-Pacific Knee, Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine Society (APKASS) AO Trauma – International Member
