Biography: Dr. Baris Yigit was born in 1979 in Antakya. In 1996, he began his studies at the Ege University Faculty of Medicine. During his final year at the faculty, he conducted neuroscience research on rats at the Louisiana State University Health Science Center for six months. In 2004, he started his residency in Aesthetic, Plastic, and Reconstructive Surgery at Istanbul University Medical Faculty (ÇAPA), completing his training in 2010. In 2006, he won a competitive Microsurgery Course organized by the European Association of Microsurgery. In 2009 he completed his residency in Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas. He began his mandatory service in 2010 at Mardin State Hospital. In 2013, he took on the role of Assistant Professor at the Düzce University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Aesthetic, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, and in 2014, he became the Chief of the Department in the same clinic. He chaired the 22nd Basic Microsurgery Course for the Association of Reconstructive Microsurgery at Düzce University. He is a full member of several professional organizations, including: Turkish Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery AssociationReconstructive Microsurgery AssociationWorld Society for Reconstructive MicrosurgeryInternational Society of LymphologyEmergency Hand Surgery and Microsurgery AssociationNational Trauma and Emergency Surgery AssociationAmerican Society of Aesthetic, Plastic & Reconstructive SurgeonsFrom 2004 to 2016, he submitted and presented numerous studies at various national and international congresses and published scientific articles in several national and international journals. Between 2016 and 2018, he worked as an Aesthetic, Plastic, and Reconstructive Surgeon at Private Lokman Hekim Hospital in Fethiye. In March 2019, he opened the Barış Yigit Clinic in Fethiye. In 2023, he founded ODIA CLINICS and currently serves as an Aesthetic, Plastic, and Reconstructive Surgeon at the same clinic in Fethiye.
