Biography: “Dr. Phil” (as he is known to many patients) is a graduate of Dalhousie University where he completed his Bachelor of Science degree in 1995 and Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1999. While practicing dentistry full-time, Phil completed his Masters of Education in Medical Education at Dalhousie/Mount Saint Vincent Universities in 2007.Since joining Bedford House Dentists in 1999, Phil and his staff have maintained a committed approach to preventive care for both adults and children, resulting in a very family-friendly atmosphere.Phil provides comprehensive care in all aspects of dentistry, with special interests in Dental Implants, Prosthodontics (reconstruction of missing teeth), CAD/CAM Dentistry (computer-designed crowns and fillings) and cosmetic dentistry.In addition to full-time practice, Phil was an Associate Professor in the department of Prosthodontics at the Dalhousie Dental School from 2002 to 2007 and a clinical instructor in the Pediatric department in 2007. He is a member of the Canadian Dental Association, the Nova Scotia Dental Association, and serves on several volunteer committees with the dental association and local university.
