Biography: He is the leading pioneer of advanced minimally invasive venous procedures in Canada. As the founder of Canada Vein Clinics, he was one of the first General Surgeons to focus on the broad spectrum of Phlebology and to successfully perform the Endovenous Laser Treatment (EVLT). Since opening Canada Vein Clinics more than fifteen years ago, Dr. Matz has performed thousands of successful varicose and spider vein treatments. As a member of the American College of Phlebology, the International Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, and the Canadian Association of General Surgeons, Dr. Alexander Matz has set the gold standard for expert venous treatment and dedicated patient care. With a record of extensive training and experience in the field of Phlebology, Dr. Matz is a Fellowship recipient with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada as well as the American College of Surgeons.
