A few years into the Iran-Iraq war, the 16-year-old Amy Khajavi left Iran and immigrated to the United States to pursue her dreams of becoming a scientist/dentist. In the University in Portland, Oregon, she received her Master of Microbiology (5 years) followed by an additional 4 years in one of the top 10 ranking dental schools in the United States. She graduated with Honor with Doctor of Dental Medicine from Oregon Health Sciences University (4 years). She then continued 2 additional years in Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Aesthetic Dentistry. She received the prestigious award of " Excellence in Full Mouth rehabilitation" in the year 2000. She continued her training in Oral Implantology followed by receiving her fellowship from the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and the American Board of Oral Implantology
