Biography: Qualified from Stanley Medical College, Chennai, India in 1998. He moved to the UK in 1999 and underwent postgraduate surgical training (2 years of Basic Surgical training, 2 years of Surgical Oncology research and 6 years of Higher Surgical training sub-specialising in Gastrointestinal, Minimal Access and Bariatric Surgery). His Higher Surgical training included a variety of complex Upper Gastrointestinal, Bariatric and Colorectal Surgical operations with special emphasis on Minimal Access Surgery, in some of the best institutions in UK. He successfully obtained the CCT (certificate of completion of UK training) in Feb 2011 and practised as a Consultant Upper Gastrointestinal and Bariatric Surgeon in the National Health Service, England.
