About Claremont Dental
At Claremont Dental, we are your local professional full service family dental clinic. We offer a complete range of dental services including general preventative dentistry, family and children’s dentistry, emergency services, corporate dental services, orthodontics, full denture clinic, cosmetic dental services, oral surgery, crowns and bridges, snoring relief and TMJ dysfunction. We are also one of Australia’s leaders in dental implants.
Dr Andrews has a special interest in adult cosmetic orthodontics combined with cosmetic restorative treatment and is the only provider of the Cosmetic six month smiles orthodontics in Perth WA, Dr Abbondanza is a very experienced dentist with a specialist interest in dental implants and oral surgery. We also are certified providers of Invisalign braces. Dr Etheridge is another very experienced dentist who enjoys all aspects of family and cosmetic dentistry. All our dentists and therapist have young children so understand their needs and behaviour during treatment. Our dental philosophy and focus is on the prevention of disease.

Biography: Qualified 2000 from University of Dundee and has worked as an dentist in Edinburgh and London. Since then he has continued his education with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons in Edinburgh, completing the primary examinations for the fellow of the Royal Academy of Dental Surgeons UK.He then moved to Australia in 2003 where he worked in general practice in rural NSW and QLD before returning to Edinburgh in 2004.Opened the “Edinburgh Dental Studio” in 2005 before returning to WA with his Australian wife Emma in 2010. Now he is a senior partner at Claremont Dental and in Port Hedland Dental. He also works at Accent Dental on St. Georges Terrace.He is a very experienced dentist and has a specialist interest in advanced dental and facial cosmetics. He is one of the only providers of “6 Month Smiles” cosmetic orthodontic system in Auststralia. James works very closely with ceramist Sascha HeinHe has a diploma in implantology under tutelidge of Dr Crawford Bain (Univ of Glasgow) and completed a 1 year residency in fixed orthodontics in Kirkaldy hospital in Fife. He is a member of the Australian Dental Association, British Dental Association and the American and British academies of cosmetic dentistry.He believes in providing high quality and affordable dentistry. Due to the advancements in dental technology he believes it is especially important to continue his professional education by attending courses and specialised training every year.James is married to his wife Emma and have two children. In his free time James loves sport and surfs as much as he can.Dr James Andrews’s interests include Dental , Implant Dentistry , Orthodontics and TMJ.
Dr Daniel Abbondanza

Biography: Dr Daniel Abbondanza graduated 2003 with a Bachelor of Dental Science at the University of Western Australia. Since then he has continued his education with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons, completing the primary examinations for the fellow of the Royal Academy of Australian Dental Surgeons. His main interests are aesthetic dentistry and its integration with implant dentistry. In 2009 he completed a masters program through UCLA in implant dentistry finishing top of the class. He maintains an active interest in the dental society being a Federal committee member representing Western Australia for the Australian Prosthodontic Society 2009 /2010. Currently Daniel has a special interest in reconstruction of tissues prior to implant surgery and computer guided surgery. Currently Daniel holds mentor programs for Nobel Biocare on the use of computer guide surgery (2009).Daniel works very closely with ceramist Sascha Hein. In 2009 they presented a lecture for the British Academy of Aesthetic Dentists in the united Kingdom. He firmly believes working closely with a knowledgeable and artistic ceramist is important for success.
Dr Dominic Etheridge

Biography: Dominic completed his dental training at Bristol university (UK) graduating in 2004. Since then he has worked in general practice, first in his hometown of Falmouth, Cornwall before moving to Perth in 2006. Dominic enjoys all aspects of dentistry with particular interests in family restorative dentistry, including implants and endodontics. He is also a firm believer in starting preventative methods early and finds treating children very fulfilling.Out of the surgery, Dominic is married with a young daughter. As a keen sportsman, Dominic spends his spare time on the tennis court or the soccer field.

Biography: Catherine graduated from dental nursing in 2002 and worked as a dental nurse in her home town of Busselton for a few years before she moved to Perth to pursue Dental Therapy at Curtin University. In 2006 she graduated from Dental Therapy and worked in the school system for many years. Cath has a strong focus on preventative care and has recently completed her bachelor of oral health science. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her beautiful three children.
