Biography: Metin Kerem, MD.Dr. Metin Kerem was born in Ankara, Turkey, in 1977. After graduating from Ankara Çankaya Milli Piyango High School, he started his medical training at Gazi University, Faculty of Medicine, in 1995. He was graduated from medical faculty in 2001, and started his plastic surgery residency period at Ankara Numune Research and Training Hospital, Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery in 2002. Simultaneously, he worked as a volunteer surgical assistant in a private aesthetic surgery clinic during residency. Having performed thousands of aesthetic, reconstructive and hand surgery operations himself, he completed his residency period in July 2007. Due to the medical law in Turkey, he was assigned for obligatory governmental service in Sirnak State Hospital, located in southeastern Turkey. Being the first plastic surgeon ever to work in this area, he established the plastic surgery clinic in this hospital, and performed a lot of interesting cases. Meanwhile, he went on improving his international scientific career. With regard to his success on this field, he was qualified as a fellow of the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, and was rewarded with the EU quality recognition in November 2008. After finishing his obligatory governmental service, he completed his military service as a second lieutenant plastic surgeon, in Kyrenia Military Hospital, North Cyprus. Dr. Metin Kerem, who is now performing his private practice in his own aesthetic surgery clinic in Istanbul, has 15 international scientific publications and 19 congress presentations. Biography: Burak Alhan, M.D., was born in Ankara, Turkey in 1980. After graduating from Trabzon Anatolian High School, he started his medical education at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine in 1998. After completing his six year medical education in 2004, he began his plastic, reconstructive & aesthetic surgery training the following year at Ankara Numune Research & Training Hospital. During his training he worked as a volunteer surgical assistant in a private plastic surgery centre in Ankara. Having performed many aesthetics operations, general reconstruction and hand surgeries, as well as participating in multiple scientific studies, he completed his plastic surgery training in 2012. This same year he was assigned obligatory governmental service as a plastic surgeon in Nevşehir State Hospital, Cappadocia. After completing his medical service in one of the most touristic spots in Turkey (Cappadocia), he continued his career working both for state and private hospitals where he operated numerous foreign patients. In addition, he became the longest running plastic surgeon ever in this city. Dr. Alhan, who has published three international scientific studies to date and has attended numerous national and international courses, has most recently became a Consultant Surgeon for Clinicarts in 2018 and has been working as a Staff Plastic Surgeon for the same clinic since 2019. Dr. Alhan is interested in travelling, scubadiving, rockclimbing, snowboarding, music and motorcycles. He speaks English and Spanish fluently.
