About Core Body Clinic - Reading Physiotherapy

We are a specialist back, body and sports injury physiotherapy clinic based on chapel Hill in Tilehurst, Reading.  We treat all types of injuries from back pain to Achilles tendons and use the very best of evidenced based techniques.


We also have a special interest in the treatment of problems related to running and cycling. 


Our philosophy is to get to the source of the problem and not just the symptoms.  We aim to diagnose and then create a treatment plan 'specific' to the individual.

Biography: Adrian is a highly qualified sports and manipulative physiotherapist and is the clinical director at Core Body Clinic. He holds a degree in Physiotherapy and a masters degree in Manual therapy. His appraoch to physiotherapy is very 'hands-on' and he has a wealth of experience in sports medcine having worked at Manchester City and Wolverhampton wonderers FC delivering physiotherapy to professional sports persons. Adrian is one of only a 1000 qualified physiotherapists eligable for membership with the MACP (Musculoskeletal association of chartered physiotherapists), a specialist group that acknowledges advanced practitioner status in assessment and treatment of orthopaedic, sports and musculoskeletal pain. As part of his MSc in Manual therapy from Coventry University his thesis researched the effects of spinal manipulation (a technique that causes an audible 'pop' similar to that provided by Chiropractors and Osteopaths). Adrian is a mentor for physiotherapists on the Masters MACP pathway and lectures nationally and internationally teaching Spinal Manipulation and manual therapy. Adrian has an interest in back and neck pain and has a wealth of experience in treating sports injuries, in particular the shoulder and knee. He is a strong advocate of evidence based practice and keeps very current through peer reviewed scientific journals. Outside of clinical practice Adrian is a keen cyclist, former rugby player (now occasional touch/shoulder barge), he also plays in a rock band, hates DIY and has a young family.
