He carefully and meticulously carries out the planning of gastric sleeve, gastric bypass and gastric balloon surgery, analysis of blood tests and bariatrical analysis of the stomach.Assoc. Prof. Dr. Umut Rıza Gündüz was born in 1978 in Ankara. His education life, which started in Ankara, continued in Istanbul and he got the title of Medical Doctor at the Faculty of Medicine in Cerrahpaşa.At the end of 2010, he became a general surgery specialist. He continued the work pace that he was accustomed to during his assistant years at Antalya Training and Research Hospital, where he was appointed at the beginning of 2011. He has operated many patients in Emergency Surgery, Laparoscopic Surgery, Hernia Surgery, Malignancy Surgery and Obesity Surgery. He applied for associate professorship with his scientific articles published during his specialization and at the end of 2017, he successfully passed the associate professorship exam and received the title of associate professor. During this period, he received Advanced Endoscopy training. He worked as a Clinical Instructor at Antalya Training and Research Hospital until 2021 and actively participated in assistant training. He has performed many complex surgeries. He has a special interest in Laparoscopic surgery, Oncological surgery and Obesity surgery.
