Biography: I am working here at Dentaris in the areas of prevention, prosthetic, operative dentistry, implant surgery and implant rehabilitation. I was fortunate enough to Teach dental anatomy and integral odontology for 14 Years at the Univesidad Intercontinental in Mexico City where I enthusiastically passed on my knowledge and techniques to help future dentists. This position gave me a continued drive for working and seeking new challenges in the profession for which I have dedicated the past 30 years of my life. When I was approached to join the team of Dentaris I knew that working with such like minded, dedicated and experienced doctors would be a great fit for me and allow the skills and abilities we all share to offer our patients the best outcomes for many different types of clinical cases. Biography: Dr. Sierra specialized in Periodontics in 1985 in Postgraduate Division at UNAM. Dr. Leonardo Sierra studied at Dental School in National University of Mexico (UNAM).Graduated with honors in Dentistry at UNAM, (National University of Mexico), in 1985. He studied a Periodontics Specialty (1985), Master’s degree in Dentistry (1985-1886), Professor of the Postgraduate Division of Dental School UNAM (1987-2004), founder of Implantology Department at the PDDS UNAM (1990), Chairman of Implantology Department at the PDDS UNAM(1991-1997), President of the Academy of Periodontics in Mexico City(1989-1990), Member of the Mexican Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, Academy of Osseo integration and The Medical Association of Medica Sur Hospital(1999). Dr. Sierra is the author of several scientific papers related to Periodontics and Dental Implantology, Co-author of “Esthetic Basis for Osseo integrated Implant Rehabilitation”, Ed. Artes Medicas, 2006. He focuses only in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry and has given multiple lectures in Mexico, Chile, Panama, Ecuador and the United States. Dr. Sierra was awarded for 15 years as professor and founder of the Implantology Division at UNAM, the Mexican Dental Association, and “Lifecore Biomedical” as Scientific Advisor. Member of the ICOI, International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
