Biography: MD FRCS(C)Dr. Chongs passion and talent for surgery was discovered early-on in his medical schooling years where upon graduating from the University of Alberta Medical School, he was awarded the prestigious H. H. Hepburn Award for the medical student most likely to become a successful surgeon. Since then, Dr. Chong has gone on to train and practice in Seattle with the University of Washington, and in Toronto with the University of Toronto. One of his most memorable additions to his training was his completion of a Plastic & Cosmetic Fellowship with world renowned surgeon Dr. Oleh Antonyshyn.He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC), and a member of the Alberta College of Physicians and Surgeons, the Alberta Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Alberta Medical Association and the Canadian Medical Association. Going back to his roots, Dr. Chong also acts as a Clinical Lecturer with the University of Alberta, and is the Chief of Plastic Surgery at the Alberta Surgical Centre.
