Biography: MBBS, M.S., M.Ch. Dr. Monisha Kapoor is a consultant plastic and aesthetic surgeon with a vast experience in the field of burns, burn wound, plastic surgery, maxillofacial surgery and aesthetic surgery. She did her medical schooling from GMC Jammu after meritoriously securing first rank in the whole state of J&K in 1996. She also cleared her PLAB examination (licence examination in United Kingdom) when she was a trainee during her internship. She secured eighth rank in the state of Maharashtra in post graduate examination in 2003 and did her training in the field if E.N.T from the prestigious institute of GMC Nagpur for one year before flying to London to gain experience in the developed world. She completed her M.S (Master in Surgery) in 2005 and cleared her superspecialization in burn, plastic and maxillo facial surgery from Safdarjung Hospital New Delhi in 2008. dr.desk In United Kingdom, she worked as a resident in the university hospital for one year before settling down in on her own motherland.She did her masters in general surgery and during these years she was exposed enormously to plastic surgery procedures as she was attached to plastic surgery unit during her residency in general surgery. She again secured first rank in national examination to be included for the prestigious award of MCh plastic and maxillofacial surgery. She did her super specialization from one of the biggest departments in asia i.e Burns, plastic and maxillofacial surgery safdurjung hospital , New Delhi. Here she gained finesse and expertise in skin grafting, cleft lip and palate surgery, burn surgery, hypospadias surgery, all contracture surgery, facial fracture fixation surgery and aesthetic surgery. She has been an active member in lot of national and international conferences and has won best research paper awards in national as well as international plastic surgery meets. Dr Monisha is presently working as a senior consultant in ADIVA aesthetic and plastic surgery institute in New Delhi and wants to extend her expertise in areas where there is a need of plastic surgery by reaching out to people and giving them the best care in their comfort zone saving them the money as well the time needed to get the treatment in Delhi.
