Biography: Fully qualified Plastic, Reconstructive and Cosmetic Surgeon. Following her training through the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Dr Matousek completed two further fellowships, one in breast surgery, (Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons/Allergan Breast Fellowship) and the other in facial aesthetic surgery (Mentor International Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship, London). Dr Simone Matousek initially studied medicine at the University of NSW and graduated with honours. After completing her internship in Australia, she went overseas where she commenced her Plastic surgical training in Oxford, UK doing her first year of residency there. After returning to Australia and finishing her Basic Surgical Training and a compulsory year as an Advanced General Surgical Trainee, Dr Matousek commenced Advanced Training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery through the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Following this, Dr Matousek then did further training in Melbourne as part of Allergan Breast Fellowship, sponsored by the Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. This allowed her to gain extensive experience in both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the breast and body.
