Biography: (MBBS, MS, DNB, MNAMS) Senior Consultant & Head, Dept ENT Chief Cochlear Implant Surgeon Dr Sumit mrig is a young dedicated ENT & Head & Neck Cancer Surgeon with special training in the field of cochlear implantation trained by Prof. MARIO SANA (Gruppo Otologica, Piacenza ITALY) and Prof. MILIND KIRTENE (PD Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai).HE HAS PIONEERED THE TECHNIQUE OF BINAURAL COCHLEAR IMLANTATION IN INDIA & his team did INDIA'S FIRST & successful TRUE BINAURAL COCHLEAR IMPLANTATION at Primus Hospital, Delhi. He not only has the experience of performing more than 1,000 surgeries in the field of ENT, but has lot of academic achievements to his name. He is the reviewer of international ENT journals and has numerous international publications to his name. He has also written temporal bone dissection manual for training of ENT surgeons. He has participated in online CME prog on ALLERGIC RHINITIS from university of MICHIGAN. He is also the joint editor of quaterly e news letter ENT TRENDS. He has been a regular invitee to various institutes in India AS A MENTOR SURGEON to perform cochlear implant surgeries & also did the 1st cochlear implant at Tata Main Hospital (Jamshed Pur).
