Biography: My name is Nora Akveld, I was born in The Netherlands and raised in a true Dutch dentist dynasty. I am the third generation of dentists in the family, after my grandfather, both of my parents and several uncles. Today my cousins and I continue our heritage as dentists. I therefore think I can say that dentistry is truly in my genes. noortje akved Since 2008 I have worked in several practices in the Netherlands where I gained a wide range of experience in the field of general dentistry. I specialized in endodontics, also known as root canal treatments, by expanding my knowledge in several post graduate courses. I enjoy the challenge of root canal treatments as they combine precision and technical skills, which are both required for working on narrow root canals. As my husband was relocated to Rome, I am working here as a dentist since the summer of 2014. I find it interesting to incorporate my knowledge and way of working as a Dutch dentist here in Rome. At the moment I am working in two dental practices in the city centre of Rome. I focus on treating international patients, as I am fluent in Dutch and English, but also comfortable in Italian.
