About Glam Spa
Pocklington in East Riding of Yorkshire is the location of this salon and spa where a qualified and experienced team of therapists offer a pampering and indulging service for customers. All services are discussed with customers and advice offered before a treatment plan tailored according to individual needs is formulated. Customers are offered the convenience of booking appointments online. Services provided include facials and massages, CACI nonsurgical facelifts, manicures and pedicures, eye treatments including threading to define eyebrows, hair removal by waxing, tanning, professional makeup services and grooming services for male customers.

Biography: Spa founder and owner with 27 years experience in the beauty industry I worked as a Beauty Therapist for 23 years and specialised in advanced skin revision and anti ageing treatments and cosmeceuticals which became a complete passion. I have trained in France, Italy and London in advanced techniques such as medical microdermabrasion and Transdermal skin treatments as well as all manner of spa treatments. During that time I have had experience of most of the major skincare brands and many more specialised products. I truly believe fabulous skin requires teamwork.... a special and trusting relationship between the client and the experienced therapist. My many years of experience have taught me that amazing results are absolutely possible if you follow the advice of your professional therapist in salon and at home. It can be an exciting journey achieving younger, more transluscent skin with many benefits to your self esteem. I sold my salon in York as I had an overriding ambition to open a coffee shop and now own The Coffee Bean just across the road and make in excess of 40 cakes every week but when the shop which is now GLAM Spa became available I couldnt resist the urge to open a beautiful, upmarket spa using all my years of experience. I now see my role as spotting and nurturing talented therapists and overseeing the advancement of treatments and products.

Biography: Spa Manager After following my passion of beauty, I completed both my NVQ level 2 and 3 at Selby College, specialising in Sports Massage and Spa Management. As I was very keen to work I started out as a junior in a beauty salon where I gained great beauty experience. This is where I worked my way up and learned the great art of nail design both natural and enhancement. From a young age I also had the urge to travel and grasped the opportunity to work on Cruise Ships where I became very interested in skincare and treatments and discovered the amazing results that could be achieved with Non Surgical Facelifting Techniques and the correct homecare prescription. Whilst on the ships I was responsible for holding skincare seminars for clients teaching them the importance of skincare and it is this knowledge, passion and experience I have brought with me to GLAM Spa. I love my job and I hope this comes across in every treatment that I carry out. I believe each treatment should be tailormade to address the concerns of the client and that everyone should leave feeling fabulous. It is now my role to manage the spa and ensure that every member of staff develops their skills and delivers our spa philosophy to every client.
