Biography: Clinical Director, Founder, Sports Therapist, Corrective Exercise Instructor and Pilates Consultant. ?Matt has for a long time had a great interest in how the human body moves. After several successful years working as a fitness consultant for some of Hampshire's most prestigious hotels and spas, including the 4 star Senspa at Carey's Manor Hotel in Brockenhurst and the 5 star Limewood hotel and The Herb House Spa in Lyndhurst where he still maintains a strong following as consultant. He followed his love of anatomy, physiology and training and embarked on his degree (BSc) in Sports Therapy at the University of Chichester, after realising he didn't have the advanced knowledge needed to successfully assess, treat and rehabilitate injuries to his clients. Matt had already achieved a National Diploma in Sport and Exercise Science from Brockenhurst College with Distinction and was one of the first of their former students to undertake their now well regarded YMCA Personal Training Diploma. After gaining his degree with honors Matt created Inspire Sports Therapy to fill the gap in the market for high level injury treatment and advanced rehabilitation. Matt believes the way we move, the inherent weaknesses within our body and the forces the act upon our body determine the injuries we are likely to get. Using his love of anatomy and physiology, sports medicine, yoga and pilates as well years of experiance teaching truly functional training, he has the skills, knowledge, understanding and most importantly the experience to treat you with the most up to date research driven sports therapy / physiotherapy techniques. Matt is currently continueing his love of anatomy and movement undertaking advanced Pilates equipment training in London with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute APPi, the UKs leading Pilates Institute.
