Biography: Dr Alexis Jones qualified from Manchester University Dental School in the same year as Dr Joseph Hitchings in 2003. Alexis is the daughter of Dr Howard and Dr Margaret Jones who founded the practice. Alexis spent a year working as a senior house officer after graduation at Manchester Dental Hospital. During this time she gained experience in more complex aspects of dentistry such as paediatric dentistry and Orthodontics. She joined Jones Dental Practice in 2005 and has worked here ever since. Alexis has maintained a keen interest in postgraduate study and recently completed Dr Paul Tiptons 1 year course in restorative dentistry. This training has given her the confidence and ability to take on complex restorative cases. Alexis has recently been appointed as a trainer and mentor to new graduate dentists and has undergone training in teaching and hopes to gain a diploma in education later this year. Alexis has a special interest in tooth whitening techniques and has performed many of these treatments over the last few years. Alexis married Joseph in 2007 and together they took over the practice from Alexis's parents in 2009 - they have since both retired. Outside of Dentistry, Alexis is involved with Ladies Circle where she has been involved in raising money for local charities and community projects.

Biography: Joseph qualified from Manchester University Dental School in 2003. Since qualifying he has worked and Jones Dental Practice. During this time Joseph has undergone extensive post graduate training in many subjects, but maintains a special interest in Dental Implants. Most recently Joseph completed the prestigious 1 year certificate in implantology under World famous dentist and teacher Dr Paul Tipton. Joseph has also had extensive training through the International Team for Implantology in the placement and restoration of Straumann implants. Joseph is an elected member of the Local Dental Committee and a member of the International Team for Implantology and British Academy of Implant Dentistry. He is also a member of the British Dental Association. The majority of what we do is general family dentistry, and Joseph has a great deal of experience in treating all kinds of patients - especially children or those who are particularly nervous, or have not been to a dentist in a long time. Joseph believes that patients benefit the most through a long-term relationship with their own particular dentist, and that through regular visits, a high level of trust and mutual respect is established between patient and dentist.

Biography: Kirsty has been a popular and valued member of our team since she joined us on qualifying from Liverpool University in 2005. She had previously worked as a qualified dental nurse and obtained a BTEC qualification in Oral Health Education. This subsequently led her to study for her Diploma in Dental Hygiene at Liverpool.
