Biography: As Chief Executive Officer, John is committed to taking the hospital forward as one of the leading private hospitals in the United Kingdom. John has led the hospital since December 2000, during which time it has grown rapidly; acquiring two additional buildings on site, as well as developing the hospital’s outpatient centres across the Capital. As well as his role at London Bridge Hospital, John is CEO at The Lister; another of HCA’s world-leading private hospitals. John previously managed the Parkside Hospital in Wimbledon and was initially trained in healthcare by BUPA Hospitals Limited, after having served in the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers for 11 years. John regards his primary challenge as developing the quality of the hospital’s services and letting the world know how good the doctors and staff are at the hospital. He says, “We have demonstrably excellent outcomes and the multidisciplinary teamwork here is second to none.”

Biography: Sarah joined London Bridge Hospital in 2012, following her role as Chief HR Officer for the HCA Corporate Offices. Sarah started working in healthcare following a period of working in HR roles within the financial recruitment and advertising industries. Working in partnership with hospital Line Managers, Sarah is responsible for the delivery of HR strategy at London Bridge Hospital. This helps to support the patient journey and ensures all employees are equipped to deliver an exceptional service. Sarah’s role also ensures that all people policies and procedures are applied consistently and fairly across the hospital.

Biography: Kamal joined London Bridge Hospital in a clinical capacity as a Consultant Renal Physician when the hospital first opened in 1986. He established a Renal Unit with a multidisciplinary team, renowned nationally and internationally for the management of renal failure patients with dialysis and transplantation. In 1999, he was appointed as the Hospital Clinical Director, to provide leadership for clinical standards, audit and clinical governance across the whole hospital. His post is unique in the private sector, and ensures that safety of practice and delivery of care is maintained to the highest standard across the complex and multiple specialties of the hospital.
