Biography: Dr. Hidayet Çatal began his medical journey at one of Turkey's top medical schools, 9 Eylül University. After completing his medical education at 9 Eylül University, he continued his training at SSK Tepecik Training and Research Hospital.Upon completing his higher education to become a General Surgeon, he began his career as a surgeon at SSK Tepecik Training and Research Hospital in 1992. After serving as a General Surgeon at SSK Tepecik Training and Research Hospital for 18 years, he worked at Private Tınaztepe Hospital for 3 years. Then, in 2013, he assumed the role of the main general surgeon at Private Medifema Hospital.Additionally, it is worth mentioning that he has been one of the pioneers in obesity surgery in İzmir, having initiated it at SSK Tepecik Training and Research Hospital, and has been serving in this field for over 25 years.
