Biography: Received his undergraduate degree from Texas Southern University, and later attended Meharry Medical College of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee where he received his Doctorate of Medicine.He then completed his General Surgery Residency at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston, Texas. Dr. Paul J. James is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of numerous professional organizations such as American Medical Association, Texas Medical Foundation, and Houston Medical Forum.He also went on to be recognized in the Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities, received the Senior Medical Class Outstanding Leadership Award, General Surgery Resident of the Year, and General Surgery Residency Faculty of the Year just to name a few.Recently, he was honored to be recognized as one of HOUSTON'S TOP DOCTORS by H Texas Magazine and AMERICAS TOP SURGEONS by Consumers' Research Council of America.

She completed her General Surgery Residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX followed by a research fellowship at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA. Dr. Floyd is a member of various organizations including the American College of Surgeons, the Harris County Medical Society and the Texas Medical Association. She was the recipient of the BCM/UTPA Premedical Honors College scholarship and the Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation in research scholarship for her research in organic chemistry.Her interests are in laparoscopic surgery and breast cancer. She is also fluent in Spanish.
