Biography: M.D., B.MSc., C.C.F.P., F.C.F.P.    Trained in [Treatment name removed]® and Dermal fillers.    Advanced traning in varicose vein treatments, including ultrasound guided sclerotherapy.    Trained in laser technology and treatments.     Trained in chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and skin care products.   Trained in  BHRT Dr. Poon received his MD at the prestigious University of Alberta and completed his Family Medicine residency at the University of Western Ontario.  Dr. Poon is a long term member of The American College of Phlebology, the Canadian Society of Phlebology, and the Canadian Association of Aesthetic Medicine.   For 3 consecutive years Dr. Poon has presided as President of the Edmonton Chinese Canadian Medical Association.  In 2003, his passion for cosmetic medicine led him to extensively begin studying cosmetic procedures including [Treatment name removed] ™, Dermal fillers and Sclerotherapy for varicose veins.   In 2009 he opened New Image Cosmetic & Medical Centre.  His intact reputation has led to invitations to prestigious and extensive training sessions and lectures including the exclusive invitation to the annual "Face" meeting hosted by Allergan.  He has been featured on Fox, CBS and other major network affiliates as an expert guest on Americas Premier Experts, ® has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal and has been a contributing writer  for Flare Magazine, Canadas Fashion Authority.
