Peterson received his B.Sc. in Anatomy from the University of Saskatchewan, followed by his Doctor of Medicine, graduating with Distinction in 1984.A rotating internship, at the Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster completed his basic medical training.From 1986 - 1991 Dr. Peterson completed resident training in Plastic Surgery at the University of British Columbia. After successfully completing his specialty exams with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, he undertook additional advanced Fellowship training focusing on Aesthetic Cosmetic Surgery, and Reconstructive Breast Surgery in Nashville, Dallas, San Francisco, New York and Miami.Upon completion of his fellowship training in 1992, Dr. Peterson entered practice in Kelowna with the primary focus of his practice being Aesthetic Cosmetic Plastic Surgery, and post-mastectomy Breast Reconstruction. He performs in the range of 500 Cosmetic Surgical procedures each year and is considered to an expert in the field of Cosmetic Surgery. The Okanagan Health Surgical Center was created by Dr. Peterson to allow him to provide an environment of excellence dedicated to Cosmetic Surgery.Dr. Peterson is a member in good standing with the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons, and serves on the Executive of the Canadian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. He is also certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, as well as holding memberships in the American Society of Plastic Surgery, and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Dr. Peterson is the Medical Director of the Okanagan Health Surgical Center.

This included a rotating internship at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon. Following this he completed 5 years of specialty residency training in plastic surgery at Dalhousie University in Halifax. At Dalhousie, Dr. Miller received awards for excellence in clinical research from both the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the Atlantic Society of Plastic Surgeons.Dr. Miller is board certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC), having successfully completed his plastic surgery board exams in 2004. Following this, he went on to one year of advanced clinical training at the University of Washington and Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.In 2005, Dr. Miller established his medical practice in Kelowna. He maintains full privileges at Kelowna General Hospital as an active member of the medical staff. Dr. Miller commits a significant portion of his practice to cosmetic surgery as well as providing reconstructive surgery for patients with complex problems due to injury, cancer and other medical problems. He is also actively involved in teaching medical students and training future plastic surgeons.

He obtained the highest standing in Canada when he completed his specialty exams with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Following this, Dr. Williamson continued with advanced fellowship training at the University of Toronto and the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario.Dr. J. He interned at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon and his residency training in Plastic Surgery was at the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon from 1987-1991. He successfully completed his specialty exams with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 1991.On completion of his Plastic Surgery training, Dr. Valnicek undertook an additional two years of advanced fellowship training. From 1991-1993 he received sub-specialty training in Cosmetic Surgery, Pediatric Plastic Surgery as well as Hand and Microsurgery at the Plastic Surgicenter in Saskatoon, the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto and the University Of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.Dr. Valnicek entered practice in Saskatoon in 1993, where he enjoyed a very busy and diverse practice in Reconstructive and Cosmetic Plastic Surgery. He was also part of the Medical School Faculty involved in the training of plastic surgeons and medical students.Dr. Valnicek is a member in good standing of the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons, Canadian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the Canadian Laser Aesthetic Surgery Society, the American Society for Plastic Surgery and the American College of Surgeons.
