Biography: Peter Young is widely recognised as a leading dentist and implant surgeon in the UK. He has gained a national and international reputation for his excellent cosmetic dental implant treatment. Many dentists in the north west of England refer patients to him for oral implants and he has been working in this field for over 20 years. In that time he has performed over 4,000 implant placements and 3,000 bone augmentations. Referring dentists also send patients to Peter for second opinions, complex surgical extractions, apicectomies, bone grafts and wisdom tooth extractions.

Mrs Jill Brumby

Biography: Jill first qualified as a dental hygienist at the University Dental Hospital of Manchester in 1989, and she has worked at the practice since 1991.Jill is our registered Practice Manager, responsible for ensuring the practice regulations, policies, and staff training are up to date, and meet all the requirements for the Care Quality Commission inspections. A member of the British Dental Hygienist Association, Jill regularly attends meetings to ensure her skills are updated and are at the leading edge of developments in dental hygiene.

Jo Layden

Biography: Dental Nurse and ReceptionistJo first qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2005. She has also worked in child care with a separate career as a Nursery nurse and nanny. Jo has spent the last seven years in Cheshire and has further consolidated her experience in dental nursing at a practice in Knutsford.

Biography: Dental HygienistMelanie first qualified in 1991 and is a very experienced dental hygienist having practiced for over 25 years.Melanie treats patients at Oral Implants every Wednesday. She works for a number of other private, mixed and NHS practices thoughout the North West but her home is very close to our Northwich practice.Melanie is very gentle yet extremely thorough, and is highly experienced in gaining the trust and confidence in her patients, especially nervous or phobic patients.Melanie is a member of the Dental Hygienists Association and attends annual Scientific and Regional meetings in order to keep her hygienist skills up to date.

Biography: Implant Coordinator and ReceptionistLauren first qualified in 2011 and is an experienced Dental Nurse, Treatment Coordinator and Receptionist.Lauren started her career as a Receptionist and a trainee Nurse. After qualifying and promotion to the role of nurse, then lead Nurse, Lauren was promoted again to the role of treatment coordinator earlier this year at mydentist in Winsford.Lauren is excited to join Dr Young and the team at Oral Implants to further develop her learning and skills around implant and oral surgery.

Biography: Dental TechnicianSteve is our main dental technician and is based at his dental laboratory located close to the clinic. He has worked closely with Peter for almost 30 years. Steve has been making bespoke crowns, bridges and implant restorations for twenty years, and as a result has a wealth of experience in this important skilled area of dentistry. For the very best cosmetic results we usually recommend visiting Steve at his dental laboratory. Steve uses the latest digital CAD and shade matching technology to provide the correct match to your surrounding teeth and has plays a major role in our implant successes.
