About PhysioCare & Sports Injury Clinic - Ryde
Private physiotherapy referrals are treated at our 2 clinics located in Ryde and Newport in the Isle of Wight. Four Chartered physiotherapists treat patients for a range of painful musculoskeletal and neurological conditions, work related conditions and sports injuries at all the clinics. Treatments provided include acupuncture, Pilates, ultrasound, kinesio-taping, electrotherapy, core stability exercises and much more... Medico legal services are also provided at the clinics.

Biography: Gillian qualified in Sheffield in 1984 and since then has gained experience in many areas of physiotherapy. As a senior physiotherapist she specialised and taught; intensive care, respiratory, neurology and cardiac rehab. Specialist Skills >> My main area of expertise now is hydrotherapy but I still maintain an interest in the musculoskeletal, respiratory and women's health areas of physiotherapy. I have worked in a various places all over the world including the Royal Clinic in Saudi Arabia. In 1989 I was asked to head up a team of physiotherapists in the Royal Naval Hospital Haslar. I like to keep up-to-date with the latest research and findings by attending regular courses. Hobbies >> I am a busy mother of two teenagers and enjoy walking, sailing and Pilates.

Biography: “I believe in helping individuals understand their problems and work towards self-help in managing their symptoms in order to achieve and maintain a functional and healthier life.For my own focus and health, I practice Tai Chi most mornings and I started Morris dancing 3 years ago. I dance at various events on the Island and on the mainland as part of keeping fit. I also enjoy floral gardening, walking and exploring.”
