About Physiofit Northeast Ashington
This physiotherapy group runs three well equipped clinics located at Ashington and Blyth in Northumberland and in Newcastle upon Tyne. The highly trained teams at all the clinics have experience in treating a wide range of painful injuries and conditions and in helping patients function normally in the shortest possible time. Services available at the clinic are manual physiotherapy, massage, spinal and joint manipulation and mobilization, exercise therapy, Pilates, electrotherapy, posture and gait re-education, post injury rehabilitation, sports injury rehabilitation and post operative rehabilitation.

Biography: Susan qualified with an MSc in Physiotherapy after first achieving a BSc in Sports Science. Since qualifying five years ago Susan has gained post graduate qualifications in sports massage therapy, acupuncture, Pilates, sports conditioning, sports trauma management and teaching & assessing.Susan has a wealth of experience working in sports with amateur through to Olympic medal winning athletes and professional sports men and women. As well as working as a physiotherapist and lecturer at East Durham College Susan also provides physiotherapy to Durham Country Cricket Club and Blyth Spartans AFC. The combination of Susan employment and sporting history has given her invaluable knowledge and experience to work with a wide range of sporting injuries.

Biography: Sarah qualified as a physiotherapist after having developed a strong interest in health rehabilitation after studying sports therapy and working as a GP referral instructor. Sarah has worked in the sport rehabilitation and the fitness industry for most of her career and has spent time lecturing in these subjects.As well as qualifying with a BSc in Physiotherapy, Sarah also has qualifications in Pilates, sports massage therapy; teaching and assessing; personal training; exercise to music; nutrition; sports conditioning and is currently studying towards an MSc in Clinical Exercise Physiology.Sarah has special interests in sports and spinal injuries and enjoys treating these in her clinic and at sports clubs. Sarah has experience of working with athletes from amateur to professional standard and provides sports team physiotherapy to Newbiggin Boxing Club and RFU Medicals Rugby team. As well as working as a physiotherapist Sarah still enjoys working as a personal training and teaching exercise classes within the local community.
