About Physiokinetic
Physiotherapy, sports injury and occupational health are provided by this group of physiotherapists in Edgbaston, Solihull and at the University of Birmingham. Accurate diagnosis is conducted and effective treatments are provided so that patients are back in peak condition as quickly as possible. Services provided include physiotherapy, sports nutrition, strength and conditioning, sports massage, specialist physiotherapy for wrist and hand conditions and podiatry. The clinic offers discounted treatments for university students and is registered with several private insurance companies.

Biography: Graduated from The University of Southampton in 1997 with an honours degree in Physiotherapy. He spent 6 years (1997 – 2003) working in NHS teaching hospitals in London before relocating to Birmingham. He subsequently worked as a Senior Physiotherapist at The Priory Hospital and the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in the field of orthopaedic and musculoskeletal medicine (2003 – 2006) before committing full time to Physiokinetic Ltd. Has accrued sports experience in a variety of sports. He has worked with Warwickshire County Cricket Club’s Second team since 2003, was the Senior Women’s England Lacrosse physio at the European Championships in Finland (2009), and is currently the Lead TASS (Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme) Physiotherapist for the West Midlands Region.

Emma Startin

Biography: Joined Physiokinetic in 2008, having previously worked as an administrator at the physiotherapy department at Selly Oak Hospital. She has become an essential part of the team, as both front of house and clinic organiser, making sure our physiotherapists can concentrate on what they do best! Emma is officially 'the voice' of Physiokinetic at the end of the phone!

Biography: Graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2009 with a First Class Honours degree. She joined Physiokinetic in 2010 and has been significantly involved in delivering our highly successful and popular NHS service at a GP Clinic in Kings Heath. She also delivers our Acute Injury Triage service at the University of Birmingham and ‘SuperSpines’, our exercise class for people with spinal pain. Toni is also responsible for one of our newest services at Physiokinetic – Bike Fits, following completing training with Dr Michael Callaghan who worked with GB Cycling for 20 years and the world renowned Retul team who work with GB cycling today. Toni is currently working towards her Bronze level ACPSEM accreditation and JEMS practitioner accreditation.
