Biography: Angela knew from the age of 12 that she wanted to be a physio. Coming from a medical family in which her father practiced as a GP, she trained in South Africa, qualifying top of her class in 1998. ​ Her passion for helping people through physiotherapy has seen her work in both the NHS, in independent hospital as a physiotherapy manager and in Elite sports teams. It was while in these multi-disciplinary environments that Angela wanted to take the extensive experience she had gained in a new direction by opening her own business which has physio at its core but is innovative and considers the whole body healing. Physiolistic therefore has close ties with numerous experts in their fields.  A business based on a simple model of recruiting and investing in excellent staff whilst making the patient the centre of everything it does. It is the commitment to  this ethos which has continued to make Physiolistic the success that it is. Her commitment to her profession and diagnositic and clinical skills has seen her reputation being held in high regard by both clinicians and patients alike and has helped to forge close links with GPs and Consultants in the locally and further a field to help ensure excellent continuity of care. Angela works with an array of patients from Elite athletes to your weekend warriors and patients just wanting to be able to walk better. This offers Angela the unique experience of having a vast pool of knowledge and expertise to call upon and has made her a very adaptable clinician to suit the treatment and approach to the individuals needs Angela is also acupuncture trained (AACP), a modified pilates instructor and speed, agility and quickness (SAQ) trainer. She is also one of the few physiotherapists in the country that is accredited to teach the use of Compex (computerised exercise) for rehabilitation and is an advanced trainer . Angela is a Winback tecartherapy expert and head of the UK Winback Academy and one of 6 trainers in the UK. She is also a trainer in radiofrequency for physioaesthetics. Angela is also diagnostic ultrasound trained and this has enabled her to implement this into her clinical practice and improve her outcomes and has a special interest in the treatment of TMJ (jaw) dysfunction and pain and also enjoys lower limb rehabilitation. She has designed a mentorship programme at Physiolistic and works as a Mentor and international trainer. She has also spoken at a number of conferences and webinars in her various expertise and innovation in physiotherapy.
