About Pomadent Dental Clinic
Since 1992, the team of Pomadent Dental Clinic continues the vision of our founder, Dr. Pongrácz Antal, chief dental surgeon, university lecturer, to provide better, faster and cheaper solutions to our patients’ dental problems, using nothing but state-of-the-art technology.
We go to great lengths to make sure that You, the patient get the best solution for your specific case, improving your health, aesthetics and general well-being by explaining all the treatment possibilities, educating you in dentistry to the point, where we can decide together the course of action.
Our carefully selected professional staff are continuously learning themselves, being sure to be constantly up-to-date with all of the newest and best techniques, materials and instruments.

We specialize in aesthetic dental procedures with e.max and zirconia full ceramic crowns and veneers, porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns; implantology, small surgcial interventions and endodontics.
In time we outgrew our small dental office and in September 2019 we finally managed to move to our purpose-built three-stories high dental clinic, where our specialist doctors can handle all types of dental problems with the help of the high-tech instruments. The in-site laboratory helps us deliver quicker and more precise dental work, our digital x-ray and CT rooms help with diagnostics and our conference room can offer multiple choices of education for our doctors.
Our dental clinic is in the heart of scenic Transylvania, in the crossroad of cultures, history and myths, which will provide You plenty to do while visiting. Our clients travel to us from all over the world not only to save money but also to get a more confident, bright smile, leading ultimately to a happier life.

Dr Matyas Pongracz

Biography: After graduating from the Neumarkt Medical and Pharmaceutical University in 2005, he became a doctor at the Pomadent Dental Clinic. Under the guidance of his father, chief dental surgeon Dr. Pongrácz Antal, Matyás has devoted himself to Oral Rehabilitation and Cosmetic Dentistry.After the unexpected departure of his father Dr. Pongrácz in 2008, Matyás has taken up the reins of the Pomadent Dental Clinic as the current CEO.He became the first implantologist of the clinic in 2009 after attending the Theoretical and Practical Course of Implantology in Bremen, Germany.In 2011-2012, he worked as Oral Rehabilitation and Cosmetic Dental specialist in Budapest, Hungary at one of the best dental tourism clinics of the country learning about the new treatment techniques.Back in Transylvania, he has upgraded the Clinic with the newest technologies available and entered the dental tourism industry.In 2013 he attended Competence in Aesthetics Congress in Vienna, Austria, and in 2014 he published the “Fixed Partial Dentures ed. 2” dental book.
Dr Gabor Vitos

Biography: He graduated the Neumarkt Medical and Pharmaceutical University in 1991. Dr. Vitos started his dental career at the clinic in 1994 and has been a pillar of the clinic since then. Has been a student of Dr. Pongrácz Antal at the university, as well as in the private practice. He became a dental specialist in 1999, he added implantology to his specializations in 2009, his professional training continues to this day.In 2013, he attended the Competence in Aesthetics Congress in Vienna, Austria. Dr. Vitos believes that the title of ´a good clinician´ is not simply built upon his expertise but also on a caring heart for the patients to whom he delivers the service. His good manners and professionalism are well known among his patients.
Dr Emese Markovics

Biography: Dr. Markovics completed her dental degree at the Neumarkt Medical and Pharmaceutical University in 2003 and started training as a university lecturer the following year. She became Dento-Alveolar resident doctor in 2005 and worked as a University Instructor 2007-2013. She finished her PhD in Prosthodontics and became a University Lecturer in 2011. Meanwhile she also practiced dentistry in Dr. Drasoveanu private dental clinic before joining the Pomadent team in 2015 as the first female doctor, to the joy of many patients. Besides her extensive theoretical knowledge and expertise Dr. Markovics is infused with a passion for her profession and an empathy rarely seen these days.

Biography: Dr. Komporály Dénes graduated from the Neumarkt Medical and Pharmaceutical University in 2016 and he ambitiously contiued his studies to become a dental specialist.We invited him to join us because of his thirst for knowledge, seriousness and empathy, being a perfect match with our experienced doctors. All this knowledge was further extended as he became part of our team in January 2019. Before joining us however he spent a lot of time at our clinic to learn our ways so he can instantly be a useful team member. He is very serious about his job, wants to understand everything, yet he is very kind to patients. In the recent years he has become a very experienced dentist, well-loved by his patients, while also retaining his unique empathy. We are happy to have him as our collague.
Dr Peter Markovics

Biography: Dr. Markovics Péter graduated from the Neumarkt Medical and Pharmaceutical University in 2003, began his dental surgeon residency in 2005. In 2010 he successfully became an oral and maxillo-facial specialist surgeon. Because of his extensive knowledge, he is a welcome surgeon in multiple dental offices, for complex surgical cases he is visited by patients from all over Transylvania.Among his collagues he is respected for his surgical knowledge, but his exceptional humour is what makes everyone fight to be in his presence. Even his patients appreciate his humourous remarks. After all, who wouldn’t like to laugh through a surgical procedure?
Dr Monika Kovacs

Biography: Dr. Kovács Mónika is our irreplaceable and highly appreciated specialist doctor, who will treat the infected root canals, remove broken dental files, and resolve the “unresolvable” root canal fillings under microscope magnification and perfect isolation. It is she, who makes the safe foundation upon which we can build the crowns, bridges, inlays and fillings.She graduated in 1999, at the Neumarkt Medical and Pharmaceutical University, in 2000 she became an intern at the University Dental Clinic and became a resident doctor in 2004. After she successfully became a general dental specialist in 2008, she continued with her studies, and in 2012 acquired her second specialization on the field of endodontics. In 2013 she finished her PhD, and as of 2016 she is a lecturer at the University. She makes use of all this accumulated experience at our dental clinic as of the autumn of 2019.
Dr Zoltan Gal

Biography: Dr. Zoltán Gál came to us in 2020 to complement our medical team. His presence allows us to handle emergencies in a timely manner, so our patients won’t have to wait months for their doctor with a sore tooth.He is a resident doctor who is studying the profession at the Medical and Pharmaceutical University of Târgu Mureş and our clinic at the same time. His immense desire to learn will surely soon make him a practicing specialist with a sure hand.
