Biography: After graduating from Ankara University Medical School in 1983,  Professor Nilgün Turhan specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She was awarded the Italian Government Scholarship and also served as a research fellow at the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and In Vitro Fertilization Unit at Zekai Tahir Burak Maternity Hospital between 1991 and 1993. She became an associate professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1994 and Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2000. Professor Turhan is the Director and the founder of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department and IVF Unit of Fatih University Medical School in Ankara. She worked in these units between 1996 and 2011. After this, she served as the Director of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department and Health Institute in Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University from 2011 to 2015.Professor Turhan has contributed to more than 135 international selected peer-reviewed publications, delivered more than 100 academic presentations at conferences, and been published in over 100 national journals.
