Biography: Dr. Manolette Roque is an ophthalmologist whose practice includes general ophthalmology (which includes cataract surgery) with subspecialty work in uveitis and ocular immunology, cornea and external disease, and refractive surgery.Dr. Roque obtained his medical degree at the University of the Philippines Manila through the prestigious 7-year INTARMED program. He trained in ophthalmology at the University of the Philippines - Philippine General Hospital and went on to the Harvard Medical School’s Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary for fellowship training in Ocular Immunology and Uveitis and observership in Cornea and Refractive Surgery. He is certified by the Philippine Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the Philippine Academy of Ophthalmology. He also has a Masters Degree in Business Administration in Health from the Ateneo Graduate School of Business. He is a member of the Philippine Academy of Ophthalmology (PAO), Philippine Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (PSCRS), Philippine Ocular Inflammation Society (POIS), American Academy of Ophthalmollogy (AAO), American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS), American Uveitis Society (AUS), American Academy of Ophthalmic Executives (AAOE) and American Society of Ophthalmic Administrators (ASOA).Dr Roque is affiliated with numerous hospitals and eye centers in Metro Manila and is an active member of his specialty and subspecialty organizations. Among his current positions are Head of the Uveitis Section of the Asian Hospital and Medical Center’s Department of Ophthalmology, Co-chair of the Philippine Academy of Ophthalmology Research Committee and Director, and Secretary of the Philippine Ocular Inflammation Society. He has delivered numerous scientific lectures and presentations and has authored numerous articles and textbook chapters in print and online. He is a reviewer for local and international medical journals.

Biography: Dr. Barbara Roque is a an ophthalmologist whose practice includes general ophthalmology (which includes cataract surgery) with subspecialty work in pediatric ophthalmology, strabismus and ophthalmic genetics.Dr. Roque obtained her medical degree at the University of the Philippines Manila. She trained in ophthalmology at the University of the Philippines - Philippine General Hospital where she became the Chief Resident of the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences. She then went on to the Royal Alexandra Hospital for Children in Westmead, Australia for a clinical fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus. She is certified by the Philippine Board of Ophthalmology (PBO) and is a member of the Philippine Academy of Ophthalmology (PAO), Philippine Society of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (PSPOS), American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS), and American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (AAPOS).Dr Roque is affiliated with various hospitals and eye centers in Metro Manila and is an active member of her specialty and subspecialty organizations.
