She qualified from Newcastle University in 1995 and joined the Royal Navy serving in the UK, overseas and at sea. Since leaving she has worked predominantly in private practices in Hampshire before moving to Dorset and working at Sarum Dental Practice. She enjoys approaching dental care in a preventative and holistic manner. In addition to working at Sarum, she also works within "special care dentistry" at Andover Hospital.
