Drawing on his aesthetic talents as an artist and master jeweler, Dr. Robert A. Shumway, MD, FACS has added a completely new dimension to the field of cosmetic medicine. He has studied at the nation’s finest medical centers and has taught cosmetic surgery techniques at Duke, UCLA, and UCSD. Dr. Shumway performs modern techniques for both men and women. Procedures such as liposculpture, abdominoplasty, body tucks, and breast enhancement provide contouring and excellent form to the body. She has worked in the cosmetic surgery industry for over 10 years and provides experience and knowledge in the aesthetic/medical arena and is fueled by her certification as a Medical Assistant, management and leadership skills providing over 20 years of experience. She assists and coordinates patient-relation functions, sales and marketing efforts as well as being dedicated to helping patients achieve their aesthetic goals through education of surgical and non surgical procedures. Her primary purpose is to make sure that your every need is met and make sure all your questions are answered, and all your expectations are addressed. You will feel at ease with her during this process because she is attentive, compassionate, and thorough. She Dr. Shumway’s Surgical Assistant for over fourteen years, attended Nazareth College and is a certified EMT and licensed aesthetician. She has received specialized medical training including ACLS and BLS. With nearly a decade of experience as an integral member of the surgical team, Mary’s contributions are invaluable. Our patients appreciate her considerable knowledge and compassionate care as she attends to their needs throughout the postoperative process. Mary has a larger than life personality with a passion for music and the arts.
