Dr Gabriele Weichert

Biography: She graduated with a degree in Biology from Waterloo University before completing a PhD in hypertension medical research at the University of British Columbia. She then obtained her medical school training at McMaster University (1998) before specializing in Dermatology at the University of British Columbia. This five-year training program allows Dr Weichert to offer expertise in all aspects of skin disease including inflammatory, cancerous, and surgical Dermatology problems. She is a Dermatology Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (2003). Shortly after her training, she moved to Nanaimo to establish her practice.

Biography: Physician Associate General Practitioner and Emergency Medicine doctor who changed her career direction in 2012 to work in tandem with Dr. Weichert at Skin Care West. She graduated from Medical School at the University of British Columbia in 1999 and then moved across Canada to complete a Family Medicine residency through Dalhousie University, Nova Scotia. Dr. Simice continued her training in Emergency Medicine at McGill University, Montreal.
