Biography: Early in his career, Dr. Thomas made the decision to commit himself to a lifelong education in delivering optimum dental care – with a particular focus on implant dentistry, reconstructive dentistry, and cosmetic dentistry. After graduating with his Doctorate Degree in Dentistry from the University of Alberta in 1999 – where he was the proud recipient of the Senior Student of the Year Award in Dentistry – he continued to advance his skills and knowledge by taking numerous hands-on courses and seminars from world-renowned post-graduate institutes: Advanced Cosmetic Dentistry Implant Dentistry Comprehensive Reconstructive Dentistry Neuromuscular Dentistry Laser Dentistry CEREC Dentistry Dr. Thomas is also a graduate of the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. He is certified by the National Dental Examining Board of Canada, registered by the Nova Scotia Dental Association, and is an active member of the Canadian Dental Association. Dental innovations continue to develop every year, and Dr. Thomas’s patients feel confident in his commitment to keeping up with the latest advancements. Dr. Thomas remains committed to practicing holistic dentistry – providing optimum dental services using biocompatible ceramic alternatives to traditional metal restorative materials. After relocating to Nova Scotia in 2009, Dr. Thomas opened Smile Innovations as a product of his unwavering commitment to delivering a high standard of care to every patient.
