Biography: B.Ch.D - (Leeds 2001) PgDipClinEd. He is from Leicester, where he was born and bred. After studying in Leicester, he moved to study dentistry at the University of Leeds. He came back to Leicestershire after qualifying in dentistry and carried out his vocational training at Soar Valley Dental Practice in 2001. After being an associate for six years, he took over the business in 2008. He has attended the prestigious Paul Tipton course in advanced dentistry and recently gained a certificate in Clinical Education. Ash is currently pursuing a further qualification in dentistry called MJDF (Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties). He is an accredited Vocational Trainer, which means he assists newly qualified Dentists with their Foundation Training, encouraging them and giving advice and support. His interests lie in all sports especially Formula 1, football, cricket, rugby and tennis, he is also an avid Leicester City supporter. He has a hidden talent of knowing random facts and would be a great asset to any pub quiz team! Currently, his passion is taking on the challenge of owning and running Soar Valley Dental Practice and is very proud of his team for achieving the merit of being a BDA Good Practice, which few practices are bestowed. Biography: Birmingham 2009. He is an original Essex-boy, who grew up on the mean streets of Ilford, graduated from Birmingham Dental School in 2009 and joined us at Soar Valley Dental Practice to complete his foundation year with Ash. After completing this he moved to West Bridgford, Nottingham where he works as a full time associate dentist. In March 2010, as he missed us so much he decided to return to his roots, and now helps out on a Wednesday afternoon. During his spare time, he loves to follow the international cricket scene and enjoys playing on the weekends himself when the British summer allows him. You can usually find Dev at the gym, or testing the local pubs’ variety of lagers, or catching up on episodes of ‘Only Fools And Horses’. His calm and relaxed approach has helped many patients overcome their anxiety and fears of visiting the dentist. He believes that educating patients, especially children, in how to improve and maintain their oral health is the best way to promote dentistry. General Dental Council number: 178062

Biography: Cardiff 1982. She qualified as a dental hygienist at Cardiff Dental School UHW in 1982. Upon qualifying Fiona moved to Buckinghamshire where she worked in a specialist private practice on Harley Street. From there Fiona took a placement in Dumfries and Galloway where she was ‘Team Leader’ for a multimillion pound government funded project to promote Oral Health Education throughout the whole of the southwest of Scotland. In 2001 she moved to Leicestershire with her family and worked within the NHS as part of the PCT Community Dental Team providing treatment for adults and children with special needs. Fiona also worked with the prison service as well as private practice providing her with the diverse patient base that she loves. She joined the practice in November 2009. Working with the practice part-time, she is committed to providing an exceptional level of patient care and regularly undertakes continued professional development to meet their needs. aving been brought up in Monmouthshire South Wales, she is a passionate rugby fan and enthusiastic member of her local running club.
