Our Surgical Team and Surgical Philosoph

The surgical team at Star Hair Transplant Restoration has a combined total of 16 years experience in the hair restoration specialty. Many patients are not aware but there are numerous individuals involved in the hair transplantation surgery. Outside of the team's skill and expertise, the surgical technicians play an instrumental role in the final outcome of hair restoration surgery. At Star Hair Transplant Restoration we are proud of our surgical team and the high degree of surgical care and attention to details we provide. 
Our surgical procedures are performed under local anesthesia in our clean and modern surgical environment. Our patients are awake and conscious for the entire procedure unless oral medications and sedation is requested to lessen the anxiety of this clinic based procedure. Careful attention is given to all steps of the FUE procedure. First, adequate anesthesia and nerve blocks are used with Tumescence so you do not experience any pain during the procedure.

We recognize the angle of the follicle is important in the recipient site as well as the redistribution of the follicles in your scalp. We place one-hair follicles in the front of the hairline, followed by two-hair follicles directly behind it. The three follicle units are then placed in the central scalp to give you a full natural appearing hair.

After your procedure, we follow-up the next day in our office for a recheck and medical dress of your hair. 

 On a regular basis up to several months after the procedure, our patients choose to have continuous care for their hair with oral and topical products to maintain a health and full appearing scalp. We provide this medical support to our surgical patients to protect the investment in their new hair. As is well known, transplanted hair will go through "shockloss" at about two (2) to four (4) weeks after the surgical procedure. This can be the most disappointing time period for patients who just had surgery. But don't be discouraged because at approximately four (4) months after your surgical procedure, the newly transplanted hair follicles goes through its normal hair cycle and new hair growth is seen up to twelve (12) months after surgery.
