Dr Joy Maru

Biography: He began practicing dentistry in Surrey, British Columbia after completing his academic training at Northwestern University. He is currently practicing at DGCC in Surrey, BC. He is a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology, as well as a board member of the Vancouver and Dental District Society (VDDS). In addition, Dr. Maru is a part-time instructor at the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of British Columbia. He has also served as a mentor for graduating students in the past.

Biography: He is proud to be born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. Upon graduating; he spent a year providing dental care to patients at Vancouver General Hospital and to under-served rural populations throughout British Columbia – giving back to the province he calls home. Dr. Chang believes strongly in educating his patients and furthering his own knowledge through continuing education courses. He is always learning new skills and techniques that allow him to provide the most appropriate dental care for you and your family.

Biography: He was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. After high school, attended Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario where I graduated with a BSc in Biochemistry in 2007. After college, I returned to study dentistry in Vancouver at UBC and graduated with a DMD in 2011. After graduation I moved to Alberta and worked in Edmonton, AB for two years.
