Biography: S. A. Trefor Nodwell, MD CM, FRCSC is a fully qualified plastic surgeon certified with the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada. He is a Staff Plastic Surgeon at the Queensway Carleton Hospital in Ottawa, ON and also has privileges at the Carleton Place and District Memorial Hospital in Carleton Place, ON. He has been in independent practice in our Nation’s Capital since 2005. Dr. Nodwell has accredited Fellowships in both Microsurgery and Advanced Reconstructive Techniques (Breast) from the University of British Columbia and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery from the University of Toronto. He completed his Plastic Surgery Residency at Dalhousie University (Halifax, NS) in 2004. Twice a recipient of the Governor Generals Medal for Academic Excellence (highest academic achievement), Dr. Nodwell graduated with honours (top 10%) from McGill University’s Faculty of Medicine (Montreal, QC) in 1999.He is a member of the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons, Canadian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Canadian Medical Association, the Ontario Medical Association, the Academy of Medicine of Ottawa and the National Capital Plastic Surgery Society. He is fully licensed to practice plastic surgery in Ontario with the Ontario College of Physicians and Surgeons.
Dr Sachin Chitte

Biography: He is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon. He performs cosmetic procedures for our patients, as well as reconstructive options, like hand and peripheral nerve surgery and melanoma surgery. Dr. Chitte is committed to staying up-to-date with the latest surgical techniques to provide our patients with the safest, most effective procedures possible. Dr. Chitte attended medical school at Queen’s University at Kingston, Ontario. He then continued to McGill University to complete a residency in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. Continuing his advanced surgical training, Dr. Chitte studied in a paediatric plastic surgery fellowship with specialization in cleft lip and palate repair, brachial plexus reconstruction and paediatric hand surgery. Dr. Chitte stays active in the plastic surgery community through his memberships in such organizations as the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Canadian Medical Association, and the Ontario Medical Association. He is also a member of Operation Rainbow Canada, with which he traveled to Cambodia in 2013 and India in November 2014 on volunteer missions, focusing in cleft lip and palate, burn reconstruction and general plastic surgery in children and adults.

Biography: Sean C. Smith, BSc, MD, FRCSC, is a board certified Plastic Surgeon specializing in surgical and non-surgical care of the face, breast and body. Dr. Smith is certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario for independent practice in Plastic Surgery.Dr. Smith’s office located is at The Ottawa Clinic, where he is a Co-Owner. He holds full hospital privileges at the Queensway Carleton Hospital and the Carleton Place District Memorial Hospital as well as courtesy privileges at The Ottawa Hospital.Dr. Smith is committed to professional development and lifelong learning and is accredited through the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada’s Maintenance of Certification Program.He has also had extensive training in non-surgical procedures of the face and body.Dr. Smith completed his five-year Plastic Surgery Residency at The University of Ottawa and two fellowships including: University of British Columbia – Clinical Fellowship in Aesthetic Surgery and Comprehensive Breast Surgery and the University of Ottawa – Clinical Fellowship in Craniofacial Surgery.Dr. Smith obtained his License to Practice Medicine from the Medical Council of Canada in 2010 and obtained his Doctor of Medicine from SABA University. Dr. Smith enjoys a variety of outdoor sports such as alpine ski racing, rock climbing, white water kayaking, mountain and road biking, water skiing and golf. He is a CSCF Level II Ski Coach and CSIA Level II Ski Instructor. Above all, Dr. Smith is a proud father and husband. He lives with his wife and two sons in Ottawa’s west end.
