Biography: Co-Founders Ahmad Akhtar and Sonia Akhtar, both graduates from the University of Salford, combined their fields of expertise to establish a respected organisation that is recognised nationally as a strong healthcare brand. Ahmad graduated from the University of Salford in July 2006 after successfully completing a degree in Business Studies with Management. After university, Ahmad has had a fascinating career working for leading organisations in business management roles across a variety of industries including banking, aviation and the hotel sector. Sonia also graduated from the University of Salford in July 2009 with a degree in Diagnostic Radiography. After gaining experience in a leading NHS Foundation Trust, Sonia went on to complete a further post-graduation qualification from the University of Salford in Advanced Medical Imaging. Ahmad & Sonia have assembled a team with exceptional experience, unrivalled expertise and diversity to meet the individual needs of their guests. All of The Scan Room Ultrasound practitioners hold current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council and adhere to the British Medical Ultrasound Society standards for ultrasound professionals. Ahmad’s vast experience in management has ensured that the company has a well-structured operational framework. Ahmad has regulated each aspect of the organisation with careful and effective decision making, including managing finances, making marketing decisions, developing relationships with secondary organisations and acting upon client feedback. Furthermore, Sonia’s experience within the field of diagnostic ultrasound and management has ensured that patients receive great care in a reassuring environment.
