Biography: After qualifying from St Bartholomews and The Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry with Distinction Honour's. I began working in the general dental sector and also at a Harley Street Cosmetic Surgery, where I continued to develop my cosmetic and advanced restorative dentistry skills. I then decided to pursue international studies in the US, Brazil and France. Following this, I became one of the first UK dentists to be a specialist in Dental Implants from a prestigious Sao Paulo University.
Dr Anastassia Petsjonkina

Biography: A graduate from the University of Tartu, Estonia, in 2006, she started her 3-year postgraduate course in Orthodontics. In 2009, she achieved a Postgraduate Diploma in Orthodontics. Since then, she worked in a busy state of the art orthodontic center for more than 6 years. In 2010, Anastassia has completed the required form of study, passed the examination and acquired the Diploma of Membership in Orthodontics by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. She is an active member of European Orthodontic Society and Institute of Medical Illustrators.
Dr Asmaa El-Kaddar

Biography: Asmaa qualified from Guy's, King's and St Thomas' Dental Institute with Honours in the Practice of Clinical Dentistry. This was followed by working in various Oral and Maxillofacial Departments in Portsmouth, Canterbury and Charing Cross Hospital in London as well as within general dental practice and prison dentistry. She gained the MJDF qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons and went on to complete the 3 year Master of Clinical Dentistry in Periodontology at the Eastman Dental Institute and Hospital.

Dr Hamza Hossenally

Biography: After qualifying from Kings College London in 2001, Hamza went on to work at a number of different hospitals. He has extensive experience in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery after working at Kings College Hospital, Guys hospital, Chase Farm and Barnet Hospitals. In 2004 he obtained his Membership in the Faculty Dental Surgery and now examines for the Royal College of Surgeons. Hamza currently works at Bartholomew’s Health Community Dental service managing the dental care of patients with special care needs. He is also the Sedation Lead for the service.

Biography: Kathy has been working as a dentist in the area since 1978 and has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry including tooth whitening, veneers, natural looking fillings and preventive dentistry. She works closely with Danny Temkin (our oral surgeon specializing in implants), to restore the implants and to ensure that all patients experience a high degree of continuity.
Dr Connie Pascal

Biography: Connie qualified at the Royal London Hospital in 1985 and she has been working as a dentist in the local area since 1993. Her area of special interest is root canal treatment (endodontics) which is often the only way to save an infected tooth. This is an intricate treatment and is where her expert knowledge, skill and experience really count. It is for this reason that she performs nearly all of the root treatments for the practice. Connie is also very involved in cosmetic dentistry including tooth whitening, natural looking fillings and preventive dentistry.

Biography: Dr Arti Sharma is one of the recent members of The Smile Studios team. Dr Sharma has graduated from the renowned Kings College London Dental School, and continues to work in general dentistry building her restorative skills as a Practitioner. She later developed a special interest in Oral Surgery hence applied successfully for a position at the Royal Surrey County Hospital as a Maxillofacial Senior House Officer. Here she worked along side leading Maxillofacial consultants who specialised in head and neck cancer and jaw surgery. During this time Dr Sharma became proficient at difficult tooth extractions, minor oral surgery, facial trauma and cancer screening.
Shenol Palmer

Biography: Shenol qualified at the Eastman Dental Hospital in March 1992 and has worked as a hygienist in North London since that time. She has a gentle approach which is very calming for nervous patients and having four children of her own, she is very comfortable working with children. She is extremely thorough in her work which enables her to remove the toughest of calculus deposits together with stains that brushing and flossing alone will not remove.

Biography: Danny is a registered, Specialist Oral Surgeon with 25 years experience of implant placement and bone augmentation. Having previously worked for many years as the head of an Oral Maxillofacial department in a hospital, his accomplishments are second to none and he is arguably one of the most experienced oral surgeons in London. In addition, he is in such demand that we feel extremely lucky he has chosen to work with us and indeed, that he fits into our team so perfectly.

Biography: Dr Pooja Shah qualified from St. Bartholomew’s and the Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry with Honours in 2009. During her time there, she was also awarded several undergraduate prizes including Best Student for Part 1 and 2 written exams and the Human Health and Disease Award. Whilst completing her dentistry degree, Pooja was also general secretary of the Barts and the London Dental Society and her passion for working with children led her to be the dental representative of the Hospital Society, which was aimed at promoting oral health in primary school children through interactive sessions across schools in London
Dr Jaz Gulati

Biography: Dr Jasneet (Jaz) Gulati decided he wanted to become a Dentist when he learnt how much it can change peoples’ lives through giving them confidence, and he loves sharing his story with others! Dr Jaz qualified with Honours from The School of Clinical Dentistry, Sheffield, in 2013. He also achieved a Distinction in clinical exams, as well as being awarded the prize for the most outstanding student in the field of Endodontics (root canal treatment) from the British Endodontic Society. During the week, Dr Jaz works alongside specialists at the prestigious Guy’s Hospital to manage complex cases within Restorative Dentistry and Oral Surgery. On Saturday’s, he enjoys providing General Dentistry services to his patients at The Smile Studios.
Natalie Siriwardena

Biography: Natalie trained as a Paediatric Nurse in 2009 and worked as a Staff Nurse at West Middlesex Hospital. Her passion for further learning drove her on to train as a Dental Nurse at St.Bartholomews and The Royal London Hospital gaining her dental nurse qualification in 2012. Natalie continued to further her studies in the dental field therefore she studied Dental Hygiene at the Eastman Dental Hospital completing the diploma course from the Royal College of Surgeons in 2014. During these two years Natalie treated a wide range of patients with different oral health conditions. Natalie regularly performs hygiene therapy and more advanced non surgical periodontal treatment under local anaesthetic for patients suffering from advanced gum disease.
