Having suffered from severe hirsutism from the age of 16, I understood the devastating effect that excess hair can have on your confidence and self esteem. I was the patient the trainee Drs came to view; with long dark hair even on my fingers and toes. After 23 years of an hour per week of painful electrolysis on my face and neck, I still had a lot of the hair. It had also left me very badly scarred from inappropriate treatment.

So I decided to find alternative treatments to help myself, and ended up opening my own clinic in 1998 to help people 'like me'. I initially started with diathermy and galvanic electrolysis, but quickly moved into IPL & Laser. After treating myself with IPL for 12 months, for the 1st time since age 16, my body was free of the long dark excess hair. It was amazing to wake up every morning and NEVER think about my excess hair again. When previously, it was my 1st waking thought!
