Biography: Dr. Onur Şahin graduated from the Dentistry Faculty of Hacettepe University in 2011 and completed his specialization training in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department of Gazi University in 2016. He has been working as an academician in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department of İzmir Katip Çelebi University since 2017. He was promoted to associate professor in 2021. Since 2017, he has been continuing his advanced training in medical and surgical techniques at Ege University Faculty of Medicine.Dr. Onur Şahin's interests include advanced implantology, hard and soft tissue augmentations of atrophic jaws, all-on-X treatment, zygomatic, pterygoid, and transnasal implants, as well as medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ). He has been an invited speaker at many national and international symposiums on implantology and oral-maxillofacial surgery and has conducted numerous hands-on and cadaver courses on implantology. Dr. Şahin, who performed the first case with zygoma, pterygoid, and transnasal implants in Turkey, has treated over 100 patients with these implants. He has published more than 50 articles in national and international journals and presented over 100 posters and oral papers at national and international congresses related to his scientific field. Additionally, Dr. Şahin’s publications have been referenced more than 300 times to date.
