Biography: Dr. Hussein Shivji graduated with honours at the top of his dental school class from the University of Manitoba in 2000. His dedication to academic excellence resulted in numerous awards including the highly prestigious University Gold Medal for highest academic achievement, the Canadian Dental Association Presidents Award, the Canadian Academy of Periodontology Award, and the American Academy of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology Award. His graduating class also honoured Dr. Shivji by selecting him as the Class Valedictorian.Dr Shivji has been practicing in the New Westminster area since 2005 and also practices at Asante Dental Centres Yaletown Vancouver location as well.Dr Shivji has taken numerous postgraduate education courses with specific training in implant dentistry, Invisalign clear aligners, bone preservation and grafting, and veneers. His most recent training in laser gum treatment allows him to give you a smile as healthy as it is beautiful. Dr. Shivji is excited to be undergoing postgraduate training through the California Centre for Advanced Dental Studies so he can provide his patients with advanced aesthetic smile makeovers. Dr. Shivjis commitment to lifelong education means he is constantly evaluating emerging dental methods and technologies in order to provide his patients with the best results in the least invasive manner with a high emphasis on comfort. This commitment ensures the highest level of care, both today and tomorrow.

Biography: Dr. Cindy Turin completed her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Medicine degrees at the University of British Columbia. She is the recipient of the Pierre Fauchard Academy Student Governors Award and the Dental Undergraduate Society Award. During her time at UBC, she served as a member of the Canadian Dental Associations student affairs committee, and participated in an oral surgery externship at Lincoln Hospital in New York. She was also involved in a local school program to promote dental care to elementary age students. These experiences have helped her develop a keen understanding and sensitivity to the needs of her patients. Since graduating, Dr. Turin has practiced dentistry in the Kootenays and in Vancouver, performing a wide variety of procedures on people of all backgrounds.
